CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Scott B, owner of a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Hamilton, OH

I have used your products on three different vehicles now and they worked great. Unfortunately, I did not get one area clean enough and had to do it over (not your fault). It turned out very nice the second time. Using your products has saved me well over $2500.00 so far. Thanks!

Fabulous. Fast service, and excellent match. I painted front bumper cover and front fender panel at 80F ambient in my garage with main garage door open. I prepped with 600 wet sand and TSP surface prep. Humidity was about 60%. Three coats of color, 10 minutes apart. Wait 30 minutes. Five coats of clear 20 minutes apart. I had to spray clear within about 3" of the surface to get the clear coat to gloss over (presumably due to high ambient temp) but it still went on a bit of orange peel. No drips and no fish eyes. Next day wet sand with 1200. Polish with super fine compound from Turtle. The final finish looks wet, feels hard and silky smooth with Turtle Ice Premium polymer wax, and reflects like a mirror. Excellent for a DIY project. Better finish than factory. 2004 Monte Carlo Medium Spiral Gray Metallic, 812K.

Paint was perfect match.

Fairly new customer. But have had a high level of success with the product. Color match is good along with application. Ease of web site and packaging also both pluses. would buy from Automotive Touchup again.

Leon W, owner of a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Chicago, IL

My bumper was in need of work because of being hit from time to time in parking spaces. So I went to my friendly auto parts store and bought a can of touch up and clear coat. The touch up base coat looked okay from up close and I put on the clear coat which must have been very old. The only way it would go on was to spray until it created runs and let it roll down the bumper until it looked smooth. Unfortunately, a week later when I looked at it from about 20 feet away it did not even come close to a match. I then ordered Automotive Touch up. It arrived within a week. It was a perfect match and the clear coat completed the job to make it look like new. I used the sandpaper I purchased from you which completed the professional finish.

The paint and clear is a great match, thank you. Randy

Linda S, owner of a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo from North Fort Myers, FL

Paint match was perfect. Couldn't ask for any better. Very pleased.

Betty M, owner of a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Fresno, CA

The paint covered the scratch perfectly - very pleased with the result.

Products arrived as ordered in the time expected. Color match was perfect. I did find your videos helpful except for the clear coat work. I got the car sanded, primed and base coat (used all aerosol) applied properly. Sanded and cleaned to apply clear coat which did not come out well. Could have used a lot better info on how to finish the paint job. Had to sand and reapply again till I was satisfied. Clear coating and final polishing should be explained better for us DIYer who aren't familiar with the correct way to achieve a great finish. Your products were great and performed as advertised. Thanks. John Johnson Dallas Texas

I had to replace my front bumper cover and I decided to try and paint it my self and with the help Automotivetouchup gave me on how to do it your self was great. I saved about 900.00 doing it my self. And they also showed me how to replace my head light which I could not have done with out their help. Thank you so much. If I ever need paint or parts I know where to find them. Thanks again.
