CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Chevrolet Classic, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Chevrolet Classic is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Will, owner of a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu from PA

I'm very impressed. The color matched perfectly and the attachment for the spray can provided an even coating and made the job super easy. I can't even tell where the paint was missing from my bumper. A job that would've cost a few hundred dollars cost me less than $100. Thank you so much for your quick service and high quality paint. 100% satisfied. I highly recommend Automotive Touchup and I will definitely order again if I have to make any future touch ups. Thanks again!

Bob M, owner of a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette from Hendersonville, TN

I purchased a rear spoiler for my 1999 corvette that needed to be painted. My plan was to send it to my brother in N.M. to be painted. After researching on Corvette forum I found a thread about automotive touch up. To be honest I was kinda afraid to do it myself as I have ALWAYS left automotive painting to the pros. Reluctantly I committed to doing it. Your website was a big help in step by step instruction. I ordered the materials and went to work on it. I am very happy with the results and finish on the spoiler. The price of the materials was affordable enough to do the job. Infact, I have enough left that I plan to repaint my rearview mirrors. The only downside of the whole endeavor was the mess. I know about overspray and all so I covered everything with plastic. When all was said and done I still have overspray all over. I will be doing a huge spring cleaning. I am very satisfied with your product and will certainly use it again. I just this morning told my friend about your product and how easy it was. Thank you again. Bob Nashville.
