CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1972 Chevrolet (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1972 Chevrolet (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jack C, owner of a 1972 Chevrolet from New Berlin, WI

Perfect Match

William B C, owner of a 1972 Chevrolet from Nebo, NC

Great match. There are seven cars on the premises, four being antique/classics. Over the years, I've ordered touch up paint from several sources but now settled to this find company only. Yes, it takes a few weeks for them to make up a small bottle of perfectly matching paint but it is well worth it. A BIG PLUS: they use GLASS bottles. No plastic. They've got my business 100%. "Bo" Cash, western NC

Timothy N, owner of a 1972 Chevrolet from El Cajon, CA

The paint is a great match. It was used on a repaint of my 72 Chev truck. Non-stock color for my 1972 Truck.
