To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2014 Cadillac CTS Coupe, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. There several chips and door dings on my Cadillac ATS. Can you imagine how much a Cadillac dealer would have charged? Anyway, after doing the proper prep, applying the base, letting it dry. Then applying the clear coat and lightly sanding with 1000, then 3000, then 5000 and using rubbing compound. The scratches and dings are gone. Bottom line, take your time and follow the correct steps. The paint matches beautifully if applied correctly.
