To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2013 Cadillac DTS, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. I’m on my 3rd 2 oz bottle of touchup paint...one for each of my cars. The color match is amazingly good, and well worth the wait. I purchased some touchup paint from a local car parts store...bad match and it was painfully obvious I’d done touchup. Not with automotivetouchup’s paint. Again I’m impressed. Make sure you’re ready to go with wet/dry sandpaper. You need 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000 and a 2oz bottle of clear coat. Once you’ve cleared and leveled your paint you’ll need rubbing and polishing compound to bring out the shine. Good luck!
