CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2013 Cadillac ATS, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. There several chips and door dings on my Cadillac ATS. Can you imagine how much a Cadillac dealer would have charged? Anyway, after doing the proper prep, applying the base, letting it dry. Then applying the clear coat and lightly sanding with 1000, then 3000, then 5000 and using rubbing compound. The scratches and dings are gone. Bottom line, take your time and follow the correct steps. The paint matches beautifully if applied correctly.

I’m on my 3rd 2 oz bottle of touchup paint...one for each of my cars. The color match is amazingly good, and well worth the wait. I purchased some touchup paint from a local car parts store...bad match and it was painfully obvious I’d done touchup. Not with automotivetouchup’s paint. Again I’m impressed. Make sure you’re ready to go with wet/dry sandpaper. You need 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000 and a 2oz bottle of clear coat. Once you’ve cleared and leveled your paint you’ll need rubbing and polishing compound to bring out the shine. Good luck!
