To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2012 Cadillac Ats, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. Black DIamond Tri-Coat color code GLK for my CTS-V was an exact match. I blacked out my chrome and it looks factory. The only negative is, I wish I could purchase just a can of the Base coat, because I have 3 cans of the mid coat!!! You don't use as much mid coat... Be sure to order more than you will need, just in case...You will run out of Base coat before you know it! Other than that, it is an excellent product!!! One last thing, if you find the spray can is sputtering, remove the spray cap and soak in thinner. Also, when done turn can upside down and spray until just air comes out...then store the cans. Will keep the tip from getting clogged.
