To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2006 Cadillac DTS, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. This was the third time I purchased touch up paint from Automotivetouchup. The first two times I used the spray cans with the base coat, mid coat and clear coat. Everything went great and the color match was perfect. The current car I'm working on has very little paint damage so I chose the small ½ ounce bottles. The base coat is fine however I can't get the mid coat on at the proper thickness, I tried to thin with lacquer thinner but it dissolves the base coat. I should have purchased the spray cans, they work great. The bottles would work if you are working with a color that only needs a single color coat. I would recommend Automotivetouchup to anyone.
