To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2005 Cadillac STS, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. The touch-up paint matched the car paint perfectly. The touch-up paint was a bit thick, which would be better for small chips. I needed to sand the rust out, put on rust remover, a primer, and then the touch-up paint. The repairs were on the roof so one will not readily see the repair job. Thank you excellent paint.
