To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. I've used Automotive Touchup products on several cars, all with excellent results. This was my first experience with their color-matched aerosol cans. As expected, the match was perfect. The pleasant surprise was the very even finish using rattle-can. They obviously are using a higher-quality device than something like Krylon or Rustoleum. These are very good devices for those who don't want to mess with an airbrush or commercial grade paint gun for small jobs. In fact, I'd not hesitate to repaint a door or fender with these products, although in this case the job entailed repainting two rocker panels.
