To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. Every time I order touchup paint, I always get a perfect match. Last night my wife came home from school and was upset because she had a really bad paint chip on the car door. I had just received my last order of touch up paint for her Buick Enclave, a black mist metallic paint. I knew I would need it before long as I can't get her to not park in the parking lot. After shaking the bottle for a couple minutes, I applied a small amount on a couple chipped places and the paint matched perfect. In a couple days I will rub it out, apply another coat to build up the depth of paint until it matches the surface. I have 2 bmw's and touching up the paint chips seems to never end, but I pretty picky about my cars. The paint always matches perfect, even high metallic paints.
