I used the aerosol spray cans for priming, color coating, and clear coating rocker panel repair panels. The color match was acceptable and significantly improved the appearance of the car. A spot repair to the bumper was less successful, the color shade slightly darker than the surrounding paint. The bumper had been refinished two years previously so this was not factory paint. If the entire bumper was painted it would have been an acceptable match to the rest of the car. I had trouble with blobs of paint spitting onto the surface and had to clean the aerosol nozzle repeatedly with lacquer thinner to complete the color coat application. This also occurred to a lesser extent with the clear coat. I had ideal spraying conditions, 70 degrees and <50% relative humidity. I was able to complete the repair using your products for a fifth of the cost at the body shop.

As a person who does all his own maintenance, and likes to hold onto a good vehicle, including minor body repairs, I have used many other paints to try to match that particular vehicle's color. I replaced the passenger side mirror on my Buick Century. I had never had any experience painting an automobile before. I called AUTOMOTIVE TOUCHUP to see what I needed for the job. I was told I would need adhesion promoter on the plastic housing of the mirror before applying the basecoat. I did everything I was supposed to do according to the instructions I found on the AUTOMOTIVE TOUCHUP web site. The paint job to my mirror was perfect. It looked like a professional did the job, right off the production line. I was proud that I could do such a fantastic job. My touch up paint was spot on for a match. I don't know what the procedure is as to how to match colors for a twelve year old car but you did it. I had a deep gouge on the rear bumper which would have cost me $500 to repair. AutomotiveTouchup took care of that for less than $10.00.

Good match on the spray can base coat. 2oz Touchup didn't seem to have enough sparkle bits in it or perhaps the bits were just stuck to the sides of the bottle. The color was very good.
