CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1978 Austin Rover (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1978 Austin Rover (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Joe M, owner of a 1967 Austin Rover from Butler, PA

Color is a perfect match for my 1964 MGB!!

Dean H, owner of a 1959 Austin Rover from Hatboro, PA

Paint was very close to what Ragtops and Roadsters (http://www.ragtops.com/) painted my car with (recent insurance repair and respray). But it was not a perfect match. However it was sufficiently close that I don't think I could complain. Quality of the aerosol paints and the spray tips utilized is exceptional. My initial purchase was to paint the engine compartment area due to the fact that I decided to swap engines while the insurance repair progressed. I do intend to purchase additional material to paint a factory hardtop. Despite the fact that I do not think it will be a perfect match. This is for a Mk1 Austin Healey Sprite in "Old English White". There is a discrepancy already in place as the hardtops were noted to be painted in "Ivory White" and this is slightly different from "Old English White". So if I am a little off in the right direction the it will be OK.

Michael P, owner of a 1964 Austin Rover from Abingdon, MD

The blending of the color was spot on, the repaired area was a perfect match to the original paint color. Very happy with the results.
