CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1967 AMC (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the AMC paint code location chart.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1967 AMC (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Tom J, owner of a 1968 AMC from Los Angeles, CA

Color match is perfect, to 1968 factory P72A Frost White. I've had a couple 72A Frost White cars and for whatever reason, it doesn't fade in the sun, even a little. Removing nameplates inside doors etc only the gloss is better. So this P72 allowed me to fix some classic Arizona sun-baked paint on the roof near the C pillar, and the usual scuffs in the B pillar caused by feet and seat belts etc. The color was offered from earliest 60's through the 70's. Color is correct in all lighting. I'm quite surprised. Luckily this slightly yellow-ish white doesn't seem to have pigments affected by sunlight. Of course the gloss topcoat is too glossy; so I'll white compound it to know off the excess shininess. I'm not repainting the car; it was a one-owner survivor. I'm now buying a second round of cans to clean up around the trunk lid, and the wheels, some minor scuffs and nicks.

Jim B, owner of a 1966 AMC from Illinois

I'm very happy to have found AutomotiveTouchup. They matched the Cortez Aqua Metallic on my 1966 Rambler almost perfectly! I was able to get just the amount I needed. Their service is excellent and the paint was mixed & shipped promptly. Highly recommended!!!

Jim C, owner of a 1968 AMC from Alvin, TX

I'm restoring my '68 Rambler American to its' original condition. The color of the car, although original, is faded and drab. I pulled the engine and purchased 3 aerosol cans of factory spec paint to repaint the engine bay. After 3 coats of Saturn Blue and 4 coats of clear in the bay and underside of the hood all we could say was, WOW! I'll be ordering the Auto Paint for the body after some repairs are done. We are very impressed with the quality of your products. When this job is complete we will be starting on a 1963 Rambler. Expect more business from this family. Thank You.
