CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1959 AMC (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the AMC paint code location chart.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1959 AMC (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Michael C, owner of a 1960 AMC from Wells, ME

Great sales rep. On the phone, researched the original color of my car. 1960 Rambler American Super, color Autumn Yellow. She got back to me in two days with the info. I placed the order with her. The company actually matched the original color of my 56 year old car. Great company, I only ordered one can of color and one of clear coat. Wanted to see results. Will order additional cans of color and clear in the next two weeks. Great Company to work with.

William F, owner of a 1960 AMC from Wilmngton, NC

Fast service, good to deal with. Thanks.

Ronald P, owner of a 1968 AMC from Williamstown, NJ

Great product, great match! I have used several times on my personal vehicles and minor repairs for friends. Wide range of colors dating back to some vintage cars. Quality spay application leads to a smooth consistent finish. Will be ordering again soon.
