My Acura TL 2004 is now 15 years old, but only has 125,000 miles and runs great. The paint was beginning to delaminate on one side under the gas tank access area. I had decided to go ahead and get rid of the car and buy a new one. Then I thought about how I renovate houses and painting is one of the easiest things I do. I decided to search online and see if spray paint in the same color is available and it was! I though "what do I have to lose, let's give it a try." So I ordered the paint and wow does it look great! I'm going to keep the car and get some more mileage out of it. I'll also remember this for future cars!

This was the second time I have bought their product and the first color was a perfect match for my auto. The second one for my Dad's side mirror was not a great of a match though. I didn't have the car (only the replacement mirror) when I sprayed the mirror. My fault I didn't have my Dads car with me but he lives far. He was still very pleased with the result and was just happy to have his mirror back on his car. I loved the color they sent me. It just happen to be a couple of shades darker. I did check all over the car since it was 12 years old but he never drives the car (getting too old) so any sun fade that might be on it would have been minimal with it always in the garage. Even with that being said I would still buy any paint I might need from (Automotive Touchup) as the paint and top coats went on great and smooth.

I have not used this paint on my Acura yet. I have used it on two different color jeeps and been quite pleased. I used the color coat and the clear coat and unless I pointed it out you would not know where the new paint is.

Color match is correct. I found the best thing to do was to go over the scratch with the paint pen, which in my opinion should work a little better and then let it dry. Then compound the car with a power buffer to get rid of the smaller scratches and the paint that sits on either side of the scratch. Once buffed enough the touch up paint will stay in the scratch and the residual paint on the existing paint will remove itself so a much less noticeable scratch. Im sure everyone has their methods, but this is how I used the product. I went over all the scratched first then went around and pretty much detailed the exterior myself, which will eventually get professionally detailed with a high cut polishing compound for a like new paint job.
