CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Acura Integra, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Here is an example of an Acura paint codes and it's locations.

Did you choose the wrong vehicle model?

Did you choose the wrong model? How about the 1997 Acura CL, Ilx, Legend, Mdx, NSX, Rdx, RL, Rlx, Rsx, SLX, TL, Tlx, Tsx, Vigor, or Zdx?  If you're still not sure, take a look at our All 1997 Acura Models page.  Or, just go to our page dedicated to Acura Touch Up Paint

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Acura Integra is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Steve M, owner of a 1997 Acura Integra from St Louis, MO

The paint match is perfect. After application of the clear coat, it is indistinguishable from the original finish. I did the project in my garage and did not realize just how good the match was until I backed the car out into full sunshine for the first time. In terms of both color and distribution of the metallic flakes, it was right on the money. On the downside, my clear coat technique needs work. I needed to do some sanding with 1500 grit paper and then apply rubbing compound a couple of times to achieve acceptable smoothness and gloss. I am still not entirely satisfied and may do another round of light sanding and compounding, but I attribute any problem in this regard to my inexperience rather than a problem with the product. As far as quantity goes, I repainted the roof, which has a sunroof, and a single can of basecoat and a single can of clear coat were sufficient. I had no prior experience with automotive paints and was hesitant to try this project. It turned out so well, however, that I intend to place another order so that I can do my hood too.

Louis D, owner of a 1997 Acura Integra from Franklin Square, NY

The paint and clear coat worked great for my 17 year old granddaughters 1997 Integra. Made me a hero again.

David Y, owner of a 1997 Acura Integra from Ogdensburg, NY

A perfect match and excellent service - excellent quality products. Also bought paint for an Acura and a Lotus - excellent!
