I had two nasty rock chips on my hood which showed surface rust. I followed the instructions with sanding, primer, base, and clear. Then wet sanded the clear with 1500/2000, and rubbing compound. Turned out great. You can see the repair - but you have to be actually looking for it.
Just ordered some base for another vehicle.

Unfortunately, this did not work for us. My brother-in-law used your product and on his recommendation we decided to try. Since we would be visiting him, he said he would do the job.I had two very tiny dings. After spending much time taping the area around the spots and allowing the experienced guy do the job, it did not cover the spots. He was baffled and got out a tiny brush to do the job. Not quite as smooth as the spray would have been but spots covered and hopefully will not deteriorate further. Color was a perfect match. [ATU Note: It takes a few coats to cover and you should never tape off a tiny spot or you will see a raised tape line almost impossible to buff out.]

Scratched up one of the painted wheels on some concrete curbing in an old parking garage. The concrete was a bit unusual and high in low lighting with snow. Automotivetouchup did not guarantee the color match for my Honda wheels, with their suggested color match. But I gave them a try. Wheel is repaired, painted, and I can't tell the difference from the other 3 wheels on the car. Thank you Automotivetouchup.

Its a great match for this Champagne frost. Road scratches in the front but this color match hides it and fills it in. I also have an 08 Red Ranger color from this company and the touch ups are spot on.

This amateur found it impossible to achieve a chip repair that looks exactly like the original finish. My attempt to use brushed-on touchup paint very sparingly had a blotchy appearance, while using slightly more primer and color coats to see the paint "flow" into a smooth surface applied enough paint to raise the level even when the solvent had evaporated. That's the bad news. The good news is that the color match is excellent and the area of the chip is now fully protected against future rust and corrosion. And because the car is brand new I don't have to worry about "blending" or other aging finish problems.
