To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2007 Lexus IS, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. I tried to pull a parking lot dent out of my '06 Lexus RX, After cleaning the surface, I pulled most of the dent out. I prepped the surface, Cleaned it again, and sprayed it with the supplied paint. I was amazed at the improvement. I let the paint dry overnight( not recommended, and applied the second coat, let it tack dry, and applied the third coat. Two days later, I put the first coat of Clearcoat on. Then I applied two more coats. Great match and the rest of the dent is only visible from a small angle. Great match overall. Totally pleased with the color mix.
