Sometimes even with the best products could use a little help. Try Out some of our touch up paint accessories to get a better finish.

Key Benefits

A clean job provides the best results. Prep solvent is a chemical cleaner/dewaxer that deep cleans the paint and removes all surface contaminants which gives long term adhesion of touch up paint.

Prep Towels are lint free and high absorbent that made for paint preparation.

Micro Dabbers are a lot smaller than brushes for when you need to pay attention to detail. They have a microfiber non-absorbent tip which can transfer as little as 1/8 of a drop of paint.

Water sandpaper consists of:

• 180- removes rust or bad surface damage and is highly aggressive.
• 320- removes 180 grit scratches and then touch up primer is applied.
• 600- sands down the primer and makes it smooth and ready for paint touch up application.
• 1000- can be used on the blend area. You would wet-sand with 1000 just past the area that would be touched up. Clear coat will fill in these scratches.
• 1500- can remove imperfections like lint or dust after the touch up paint has cured overnight.

Rubbing Compound will remove 1500 wet sand scratches. Also rubbing compound is great for removing foreign paint from your vehicle.( example: a steak of white paint stuck on a black bumper.) Rubbing compound also can remove light clear coat scratches.

Spray Paint Cans and Spray Paint Materials

Spray paint cans are ideal for larger surfaces and damaged repair areas.  Our spray paint tips are the fan type tip much like a similar pattern that factories and professionals use when painting a car.

12 ounce primer is necessary over bare areas like plastic, metal, and for bleed through of spot putty. Primer helps to create a uniform surface that fills in sand scratches and when sanded hides areas where bare metal, plastic, and putty were present.

 12 ounce spray paint can color base coat has been custom matched to your exact factory color code. It was designed to flow out the metallic and pearls and lay down smooth. This paint has been designed for optimal blends.

12 ounce clear coat spray paint cans was designed for a great shine. It protects the base coat and is more chemical and friction resistant. Base coat is by nature a dull paint. Clear coat is what makes the paint shine. This paint also helps with blending.

3/4" masking tape creates a tape line for masking. Use this product with paper to prevent from overspray on an undesired finish. We find 3M Masking Tape to be the best available and basically the standard in all body shops. A premium automotive grade tape is more flexible and easier to guide on turns, doesn't tear when pulling out, and most importantly it removes easily and cleanly, it doesn't leave a tape residue stain.

Hand Maskit is a roll of pre-taped paper that is used for masking small areas like tail lights and moldings. We have chosen this product because the paper is a  automotive grade white poly paper that is extremely resistant to solvent bleed through.

A tack rag can lightly remove dust in between coats of dry base coat when the human hand should never touch this surface. We find that surgical blue tack rags to be cleaner  and work sufficiently. A surgical blue tack cloth is not too tacky as some of the other ones for the home or industrial use may leave some of its sticky residue on the finish.
