CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2008 Volkswagen Crafter, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Click here for Volkswagen paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2008 Volkswagen Crafter is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Orville W, owner of a 2007 Volkswagen Passat Wagon from Lone Pine, CA

Great color match my vw went over a downed tree deep scratches on hood and above windshield and l-h mirror got all repaired but the hood will do it later. And of course I'll be using automotive touch up paint. It was also very easy to blend to the older paint. Very pleased. I'm a repeat cust and will be a 3peat cust.

Rob H, owner of a 2007 Volkswagen Passat from Hugo, MN

The paint match was perfect but I redo it twice trying to get it to match the rest of the car as the first time it was not the same smooth / mirror like finish. The second time I did things differently by having a more "controlled" environment to eliminate possible dust or humidity but same result. From 25 feet away it looks great, up close you can tell it was done by a "do it yourself" guy in his garage, disappointing. With all of the disappointment, the fact is I did not spend a ton of money so overall I am satisfied as the car is 11 years old and has wear and tear.
