CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1960 Oldsmobile (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1960 Oldsmobile (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Stanley B, owner of a 1956 Oldsmobile from Mineola, TX

Friends, I am restoring a 1956 Oldsmobile, a car from childhood or my father's Oldsmobile. The original color to his car can no longer be blended for the same results. Thus I chose a Mercedes color which is near the original I seek as the original was a German DuPont color used as an extra cost option by GM. The concept is to see the color on a body panel for confirmation by old Kodachrome and modern digital images of the original color. I intend to use your product at first on door jambs and hidden surfaces as I reassemble the car. Since this a two tone trim color to white, I may just use your product to complete the job if I can get the results I desire by hand rubbing etc. Your service, price, and delivery was outstanding. Look forward to additional orders as my work progresses. This is a labor of love with care rather than speed being the objective. I am not creating a trailer queen show car but an exceptional driver for enjoyment. Please know that I will send pictures as the work continues. Just be patient. I have painted cars with rude equipment in years past with remarkable results that have impressed professionals. Painting a car with spray cans may be an adventure. Thank you for being there for the home garage bodyman.

Matt Reardon, owner of a 1965 Oldsmobile from Boston,MA

Bought my 1965 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible this summer which had some very prominent chips. Order the factory Target Red and tried it yesterday. Unbelievable how it matches the car exactly! 52 year old paint job and the new paint is exact. I will be telling all my friends to use your company. Thanks! Matt Reardon, Boston, MA

Jim H, owner of a 1965 Oldsmobile from Dufur, OR

Was very impressed with the service and the color matching.
