CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1991 Lotus (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Lotus paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1991 Lotus (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Adam B, owner of a 2006 Lotus from Cumming, GA

Great product.  The paint pen is great.  Color match for my Lotus is spot on.

Luke, owner of a 2006 Lotus from UT

Excellent Graphite Gray match on my 2006 Elise. Recommend the micro touch-up pens for an extra dollar, for super-fine detail work on the more prominent parts of the car (I had a large jagged paint chip high over the rear wheel arch, which masked rather nicely).

Paul D, owner of a 2006 Lotus from Boston, MA

Perfect match. The instructions and videos were very helpful. I had a blister in the clear and in the base around a tail light recess. After repairing it, I applied 3 light coats of base and 4 light coats of clear blending the area. With some ultra fine compound and polish I was able to buff the area for a perfect blend and Pro results. Automotive touch up was the only place I could find paint for my Lotus Elise.
