Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Jeep Wrangler is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Alfred B, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from New Baltimore, MI

Very happy with color matching and info provided to apply to vehicle

Jim K, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Lorain, OH

I wanted to touch up some hood damage from a bigger collision which took out my front fender. Didn't do the hood repair initially because I didn't have the extra money. So, two years later I finally decide to fix the damage on the hood. I only wish my body repair skills were as good as the paint match that I got from Automotivetouchup. For a plus 20 year old vehicle the color was right on the money. I am impressed!

Tom R, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Wofford Heights, CA

First Time customer, shipping time was pretty good and a perfect color match! Very happy with there product and prices.

Sheila W, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Tennessee

Perfect color match! I would recommend products to anyone wishing to repair a damaged vehicle.

Paul T Dorris, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from WV

Okay, the order took a little longer to arrive than expected. But after a call to, I was assured my order would arrive before the weekend - it did. Here's the repair. I have a 97 Jeep TJ in Gun Metal Pearl. The paint is original. The front edge of the passenger fender was bent back by the PO. I had to push the fender back into shape, clean up the rust and prime. The drivers side fender had the typical rust spot on top of the fender above the support bracket. I cleaned up the rust, welded up the holes, used Bondo to fill in the welding imperfections and primed the area. I was happy with bodywork but was dreading the painting process. I searched the Internet and came across I purchased two spray cans of base coat (Jeep PQ7) and two spray cans of SprayMax 2K Clear Glamour clear coat (don't forget the respirator). I followed the instructions on the website and watched a few YouTube videos and Wow my fenders look amazing! If I would have taken my Jeep to a body shop and paid a $1000 for the same results I would have been happy. However, It took me a few hours to do the bodywork and about $125 in material (including Bondo, sandpaper and masking supplies). For a "rattle can" paint job, in a garage, the results are amazing. The base coat was a perfect match. The SprayMax 2K clear coat allowed me to lay down a deep gloss finish. I will definitely buy from again. Thanks for the great products! Paul T. Darren R, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Wichita Falls, TX

Color matched perfectly. Really good spray pattern for a rattle can. This product worked so well on plastic interior parts that will probably be buying more in the future!

Tim M, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Mo

Products I ordered worked perfect. Was very impressed with quality of finish on both vehicles. Received package sooner than expected.

David H, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Kulpmont, PA

Color match is exact. Only site I could find that even carried this color. Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner. The only complaint I would have is not with color match. It would be the 2 weeks it took to receive. Thanks from a new customer, Dave

Scott B, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Fort Myers, FL

Very happy with the paint and the service !!!

Jeff B, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Oklahoma

Ordered touch up spray paint for my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. To paint a small spot about the size of the palm of your hand was going to cost $200 at the body shop. This paint cost me about $15. Wow! The color match was spot on. Saved a ton of cash and looks amazing!! Also, I didn't expect this, but the quality of the spray nozzle in the aerosol can far exceeded my expectations. A very fine consistent delivery of paint.

Charles G, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Barrington, RI

Mark M, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Delaware

Awesome paint........I don't use anything else when I need paint.........I have been purchasing from these people for years..........Excellent matches.

Matthew S, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Grove City, OH

Took flood lights off of an old 1997 jeep tj. I had to fill in the mounting bracket holes and the electric cable pass through on the A piller. Excellent color match. I can't tell where the patch area was and this was on an area that had to be blended. Made me feel like a pro.

John W, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from VT

Perfect color match, Spray can has a great spray nozzle with good coverage. VERY GOOD PRODUCT!

August M, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from West Milford, NJ

Derald K, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Lower Lake, CA

I feel your products are fantastic and very reasonably priced! I just wished I knew of your company earlier; I could've bought me the travel trailer I've been eyeing over the years by now had I went with you guys instead of paying my $500 insurance deductible each time I needed a paint repair done on one of my vehicles. Keep up the great work! All my respect, Derald R. King, Sr.

Eliot S, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Pembroke Pines , FL

My Jeep Wrangler color you don't see it every day (Pearl Bright Jade), even the name is uncommon. Well apparently somebody doesn't like me or my Jeep and decided to scratch one of my doors and instead of paying a couple of hundreds at a body shop I decided to take the risk and order the paint online through this company. All I can say is that it was the right choice. The paint match perfectly! Thanks AutomotiveTouchup!

Eliot Soto, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from South Florida

I'm very impressed by the color that matched perfectly. My Jeep color(metallic bright jade) is not common and it is hard to find and I needed to make some touch up on the left door and it came out great! Great company!

Joseph V, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Macomb, MI

Just did the inside of the new driver side fender of my 1997 Jeep Wrangler .... Clear coated and looks better than what was done when I purchased vehicle new in 97. I'm going to get price for the outside and if too high will consider the challenge of doing it my self. The touch up paint was great also... Did some scratches and wet sanded with 2000 grit buffed and unable to tell it had a scratch. Great stuff... brush needs to be more pointed.... I used an art center point brush results were better. Good Paint and better than provided by manufacturer.

Oscar N, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Wallkill, NY

It's just wonderful this paint matches perfect. I applied it on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler metallic blue then clear coated with product that I also bought from you guys. Very happy with results. I also painted a Nissan Maxima and a Nissan Altima, very happy with results in all cars absolutely will buy again!!!

Steven E, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Battle Creek, MI

I used spray cans of AutomotiveTouchup paint to color the wheels on my Jeep Wrangler to match the body. I used a quality primer and the AutomotiveTouchup paint worked beautifully! I couldn't be more pleased with a product and will use it in the future.

Steven H, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Glenside, PA

Perfect match on the color and the high flow nozzle made for an easy application of the paint! I highly recommend!

Scott M, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from West Milford, NJ

Exact match every time. I love the fast service & look forward towards a perfect job with every order. Keep up the good work.

Mike, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Covington, GA

Since I was changing the color of my Jeep I did not have to worry about color match but I was concerned about the quality. The products chosen were top of the line, the paint color is AWESOME and I have already had rave reviews from others passing by. The product is easy to use, directions are straight forward. Yes, this is my first full paint job and I completed it in my makes-shift paint booth at home. The main seller of the product is that my wife loves it and that is all that matters to me.

Billy & Cathy, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Lafayette, TN

We removed a light bar from our 1997 Jeep Wrangler. Patched the screw holes, then needed to find a good paint to hopefully match. Ordered Bright Jade Satin Metallic in aerosol can and the high gloss clear coat. Wow, were we impressed! The color is an almost perfect match. We did the entire windshield frame and if we didn't know it had been repainted we would not believe it. Thank you so much for such a fantastic product.

Big Mike, owner of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Savannah, GA
