CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1988 Jeep (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Newer Jeep models usually have the paint code in the door jamb. Most paint codes are three digits long and start with a P or Q and contains letters and/or numbers. Click here for more Jeep paint code locations and paint code images.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1988 Jeep (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Dan L, owner of a 1988 Jeep from Normandy Park, WA

The paint match and quality of product certainly met with my expectations. This is the second time I have used Automotive Touchup and there will likely be a third. Dan.

Kenneth H, owner of a 1989 Jeep Wrangler from Moreland, GA

Great product and service. Been buying paint from them for years and never disappointed. Saved me a lot of time and money doing it myself and their products makes it possible.

Russell R, owner of a 1989 Jeep from San Francisco, CA

No company here just a person. I had used the aerosol spray match for my white Jeep. The paint turned out pretty good, just a base coat clear coat, easiest to do actually. If you buy the clear though, you might have to watch how much clear you spray w/ this product it doesn't seem to bring too much color or gloss out. A person not watching themselves would easily spray too much because it doesn't really get too much better, just my opinion. Glad I only had to match a 1989 Jeep white and wanted to look kind of aged like the rest of the cars color. By the way you can still sand the clear a little if you find some mistakes in application, still no worries, good product for touchups.
