Choose your Automotive paint color for your 1950 GMC (All Models)

Restore Your 1950 GMC (All Models) Finish In Two Steps

Select Your GMC's Color (Step One)

AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1950 GMC (All Models) using a basecoat/clearcoat system just like factory specs. To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Click here for GMC paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Please note: The 'All Models' pages sometimes have a large amount of results to scroll through, if your vehicle's model is in the list of options on the prior screen we recommend trying that first.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1950 GMC (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Douglas M, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Prescott, MI

The paint for my truck was a perfect match!!! I wish I would have found you before I touched up my 71 cutlass convertible. I had a very hard time finding the color anywhere and when I did it did not match. I will definitely order the color from you next time. Thanks for helping me bring my truck back to its original glory!!! I will recommend you anyone looking to touch up their vehicle.

Ronald J, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Stillwater, MN

The paint color matched well after the clear coat. However, I found out I should have sanded the black primed panel before putting on the primer, color and clear coat. The bond between the black painted metal replacement panel and the primer is very weak. Which make the entire paint job not very durable. I will know better next time.
