Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1996 Chrysler Colt is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

It was ok

John 635CSi, owner of a 1997 Chrysler Sebring Sedan from Silver Spring, MD

I previously used AutomotiveTouchup Oxford Green paint for a replacement front bumper cover of a 1994 BMW 530i I was rehabbing, and was very impressed with the quality, consistency, and durability of the paint. That was a fairly common BMW color for the era, so I didn't give it a lot of thought & took the perfect color match for granted. My most recent purchase was Polo Green Pearlcoat for a 1997 Chrysler Sebring LXi coupe. I did sweat the color match as that is a fairly obscure, color shifting paint. I was amazed and very pleasantly surprised that the paint not only matched perfectly when applied, but also matched the original paint color shifts under different lighting conditions! With some time devoted to proper surface preparation and painting conditions, you really can match the quality of good body shop painting. Ausgezeichnet! (or Outstanding if you prefer English)
