Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 Nissan 300ZX is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

James P, owner of a 2001 Nissan Maxima from Burnsville, MN

Perfect match - I looked everywhere for a color match to my 2001 Nissan Maxima - I ordered the 12 oz Aerosol Spray Paint, Sterling Mist Metallic KT3 with the 12 oz Aerosol High Gloss Clear Coat- couple of tips: I had to change from a light grey to a darker grey primer so the color would match the original. Also, I held the spray can closer than normal - like 4-5 inches away from the car. It just seemed to cover better for me. Because, I held the spray can closer, I saw tiger striping coming through just a little bit but it disappeared when it dried - so don't freak out if you see a little bit of stripping while it is drying.

Jason M, owner of a 2001 Nissan Xterra from Harrisburg, NC

I was very pleased with the paint cans and touchup bottle I ordered. My car had some bad spots I decided to restore rather than let continue to rust. The spray nozzle on the cans work great! I painted a whole panel and did some minor touchup work. The paint was a little dark due to the age of my car, 15 years in the sun, but matched up good to the original. This was my first time painting a car and I was a little worried about the look after adding clear coat. After wet sanding and buffing everything blended nicely and shined right up. My truck looks a lot better and I’m not looking at a new car so much anymore.
