To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2013 Chevrolet Corvette is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. I bought a new unpainted ZR-1 spoiler for my Night Race Blue Grand Sport. I bought the primer, base coat color, clear coat & sandpaper. They also have a handy plastic arm that attaches to the spray can & allows a much smoother side to side spray motion, I recommend getting it. I did 5 coats of primer, sanded, then 5 coats of NRB, sanded again, then to finish it off, another 5 coats of clear. I did a light sanding w/ the 1500 wet dry before the install to get rid of any OP. I waited until the next day to do each step, primer all 1 day, NRB another day & then the clear coat another day. Waiting & not being in a hurry to keep painting might have taken longer but I feel that the end result was worth it. The spoiler is a perfect paint match to the bumper that it sits on top off. I took pics to compare & it looks like it was painted at the factory. I will let my other Corvette friends in on the secret.......products from AutomotiveTouchup.

Worked beautifully. Dinged by 2013 Night Race blue corvette. The touch up paint and the clear coat fixed the problem. You cannot tell that the car was dinged. Everything is back to showroom conditions.
