Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1981 Volkswagen Vanagon is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Gaylord R, owner of a 1981 Volkswagen from Alexandria, VA

I am happy to have found your organization - hadn't been able to replace the "Mars Rot" touch-up paint that came with my 1981 VW Rabbit Convertible (Mk 1) that I bought new many years ago. The color match is excellent! Good product.

Robert C, owner of a 1982 Volkswagen from Jefferson, WI

Your product is always good. The match is right on. I have purchased dozens of different colors and like what you do. But your choice of shipping is not good. When you use UPS and they in turn ship the product through USPS, it takes too long. The last purchase took over a week to get to 53549. [ATU Note: This shipping service is called Surepost and is a hybrid. The cheapest shipping option is usually the slowest. Sure Post is certainly not for time sensitive goods.]
