CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Richard D, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix from Harrington, DE

Great color match, saved a lot of money over body shop price on the repair.

Ronald P, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix from Arcadia, IA

I bought a blue Daytona edition Grand Prix with dozens of little nicks and scratches. Repainting the entire car seemed a little extreme. Thanks to Automotive TouchUp, I was able to bring my paint job back to life! What an amazing match! It was perfect! Thank you for an awesome product!

Bill C, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix from Livonia, MI

You folks at AutomotiveTouchUp definitely knows your stuff. Your paint exactly matched the color on my Grand Prix. Once I applied the clearcoat, you could barely tell the difference. Also, you get quite the bang for your buck in terms of quality. It took me about a can and a half to cover my decklid, and despite paying $40 for the paint, I saved about four times that over taking it into a paint shop. I'll definitely recommend your paint to my friends and I'm very likely to buy from you again. Keep it up and continue expanding your color library!
