My paint matched exactly, (sapphire dark blue) even though my car is 20 years old. it does not appear to have the metallic sparkle or the high gloss, but that may be in the clear coat cover...which I should get. I also purchased the primer which helped to cover light areas that were not steel. I only needed to use a tiny bit of paint for very small areas of touch up, but bought a whole can...just in case.
