Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2008 BMW Z3 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Carl H, owner of a 2007 BMW Z4 from Horn Lake, MS

This present purchase I cannot honestly review on for I have not used the product yet! But I'm a return customer for I purchased this product for my sons car fixing a dent scratched fender and bumper. Let me say this to someone that has never done body work before research well and carefully plan and above all be patient. This product matched the color of my sons car perfectly but at first you will not like the result for it takes careful feathering. What I mean don't focus just on the scratch because if you do your end result will be noticeable. Micro sand before during and after well beyond the area thru each phase pre prime, prime, base coat, and clear coat. This time I'm fixing my wife BMW which my new dog decided the bumper was a chew toy so I'm sure you could imagine what challenge I have now and why i purchased the adhesion spray as well before the primer. I'm not a professional but it worked for me and sure someone might correct me on my procedure which I will always welcome for more knowledge. As for this company quality spray if you know what you're doing so don't blame them if you get a run instead invest in a run razor they still exist I used one on my first car I sprayed back in the late 70s. And for god sakes careful of the climate, temperature, humidity, and especially over a tin roof or your final color coat may end up with psychedelic fish eyes due to moisture and or oil droplets on your primed finish. As I said do your research before and just go to a hardware store and purchase a 2x2 sheet of bare metal and do the full process sand prime, sand, base, sand, color, sand color, sand, clear coat, sand, clear coat. Back in the 70s they didn't have 1500 grit paper the best I could get was 400 using feather pressure and a lot of time. Remember if this is your care you want it right. I don't know yet if Automotive Touchup offers quarts and gallons of primer, base coat, & primer but will definitely trust them for a perfect match of the original color and quality of the paint.
