Restore Your 1996 Toyota Tacoma Finish In Two Steps

Select Your Toyota's Color (Step One)

AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1996 Toyota Tacoma using a basecoat/clearcoat system just like factory specs. To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1996 Toyota Tacoma is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Colby H, owner of a 1996 Toyota Tacoma from Breaux Bridge, LA

Hey y'all. Paint is really nice to work with and is an exact match. Thanks a bunch!!!

Gabe K, owner of a 1996 Toyota Tacoma from Centennial, CO

My truck fell victim to a few bad rusty spots that is typical for an older Toyota. Ordering matching paint was very straightforward, and the website is easy to use. My paint arrived within the advertised amount of time. The color match is great, and looks much better than the brown primer that I had on it for a few weeks prior. I opted not to purchase the clear coat, because it's a 20 year old truck. My main goal was to slow down the rust, and have it look decent from 20 feet away. Goal achieved. If anyone asks me where to get factory matching paint, I will definitely refer them to Automotive Touchup!

John H, owner of a 1996 Toyota Tacoma from Oceanside, CA

The color comes pretty close. Of course you have to figure in 20 years of sun on the existing paint. I bought a new fender and it came primed in black. I used the base coat spray paint that AutomotiveTouchup sent and it went on smoothly with no orange peel look. I decided to use the standard clear coat instead of the health hazard one. It went on great and the fender looks like it was done at a professional shop. I have some dents to repair and I am sure that when I am done those areas will look as good as the fender. I am very happy with the results and the cost. I had bids for $3500 and $5200 for all the repairs and will probably end up spending a little over $250. That's with buying a fender, bumper, paint, sand paper and bondo.

Doug S, owner of a 1996 Toyota Tacoma from Fletcher, OK

Dear Sirs, Replaced the hood on my work truck after hail damage. Your paint (sunfire Red Pearl) was a perfect match! This old truck was an experiment but would definitely try again... Doug
