Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1990 Honda Crx is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jonathan W, owner of a 1990 Honda CRX from Dallas, TX

After trying out the color-matched aerosol paint I got from automotivetouchup.com, I was surprised at how well the color matched! I was painting my rear bumper after someone hit and damaged it, and I first repaired the tear and the dent, then sanded it down and put adhesion promoter, primer, and then couple light coats of the color-matched spray paint, and didn't have enough clearcoat to finish with that, but the color was pretty much an "exact" match to my paint, which is weird, since my paint job is 11 years old! My car is a 1990 Honda CRX si, which was originally white, but after a wreck I had it repainted in 2003 by maaco, and picked a different color from a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta, which was an atlantic blue pearl. I definately plan on buying more of the color-matched aerosol spray paint along with primer, clearcoat from Automotivetouchup.com again soon so I can finish up my car.

Randy E, owner of a 1991 Honda Prelude from Olive Branch, MS

The overall experience was excellent. The shipments have always been fast and accurate. Packaging is done well. The little extra things included that were not expected make a big difference and are a real plus. Air filter, Paint Filters, Stir sticks. This shows they are really interested in you getting positive results as opposed to just selling you paint. I like the online instructional videos but would like to see them offer just a little more detail. One I would like to see is paint gun setup etc. For instance different results good and bad with particular settings. HVLP is what I am using. Also easy ways to clean up afterwards. The base coat and clear coat products are easy to use. They cover well and are not prone to producing orange peel even when gun setup not being perfect. I have some experience but it takes practice to get consistent professional results. I just practiced some on scrap pieces to get to know the paint and gun settings and was able to get great results.

Russell M, owner of a 1991 Honda Accord from Berkeley, CA

The paint I purchased was not an exact match since the paint on the car was faded being out in the sun for almost 30 years. However, watching the videos provided by AutomotiveTouchUp, I tried blending the paint and it came out great! I am so satisfied I bought more paint and even bought paints for a couple of more cars!
