Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Virn W, owner of a 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio from Washington

My original project was to take care of a rust spot on my car. After using this touch up paint on the one area, I decided that I wanted to paint the entire panel, and car with this product. It looks great and is easy to use. Very pleased.

Clay T, owner of a 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio from Boise, ID

I was having trouble matching the blue paint job on my 96' VW Cabrio. The color suggested by every online website was 'Lexus Catalina Blue'. Finally I happened to walk by a 2010 VW Passat, with the sun hitting the paint job at just the right angle. That was the color I had been looking for. 'VW Moonlight Blue'. It a very low key yet high quality color. You might say, "Classy". So Automotive touch up hooked me up with an extremely high quality paint and clear coat and I could not be happier with the results. Thanks.

Ellen T, owner of a 1997 Volkswagen Eurovan from White Salmon, WA

Good match, easy to use. Didn't make clear that the base coat is non-gloss, so it MUST be overcoated with a clear coat. Spray cans have nice fan nozzles.
